1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or playing Vanity Sort ("the App" or "the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Unattached Limited ("we," "us," or "our"), the developer of Vanity Sort.
2. Description of Service
Vanity Sort is a casual puzzle game: you tidy a vanity by moving makeup items between drawers and clear them by putting three identical items in the same drawer. In the App you can:
- Play hundreds of levels on a level map, earn up to three stars per level, and meet new obstacles such as locked drawers, hidden rows, frozen items, and special drawers;
- Use boosters (Undo, Hint, and Space) to help you through a level;
- Collect daily rewards, play a daily challenge, and earn bonus moves for winning levels in a row;
- Unlock and switch between vanity themes as you reach new chapters;
- Optionally watch rewarded video ads to receive boosters or extra moves.
3. Eligibility
By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, or have your parent or guardian's consent to do so;
- You will use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
The App is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed to children.
4. Gameplay, Progress, and Fair Play
4.1 Your Progress Lives on Your Device
Vanity Sort has no account and no cloud save. Your level, stars, boosters, themes, daily rewards, win streak, settings, and any level you are in the middle of are stored on your device. If you delete the App, clear its data, or lose or replace your device, your progress may be permanently lost and we cannot recover it. Your device's own backup service (for example Google's Android backup) may restore it, but we do not guarantee this.
4.2 Levels, Difficulty, and Changes
Levels, their difficulty, move limits, rewards, and game features may change in updates or through remote settings (for example, to adjust how many moves a level allows or how many moves a rewarded video gives). A level you are in the middle of keeps the move limit it started with. We may add, change, rebalance, or remove levels, themes, rewards, and features at any time. After an update that changes level data, a level you had started may begin again from the start.
4.3 Hints
Hints suggest a move based on the App's own search of the current board. A hint is a suggestion, not a guarantee that the level can still be won from that position or within the remaining moves.
4.4 Not Gambling
Stars, boosters, themes, streaks, and other rewards are part of the game only.
5. Advertising, Purchases, and Virtual Items
5.1 Free to Play with Ads
Vanity Sort is free to download and play. It is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob: a banner ad may be shown at the bottom of the game screen, and you may choose to watch a rewarded video ad to receive a booster or extra moves. Rewarded videos are always optional. The App does not show pop-up (interstitial) ads between levels.
5.2 Rewarded Ads
A reward is given only after an ad has been watched to completion as reported by the ad provider. Ads may not always be available (for example, without an internet connection, or when no ad is available for your region); in that case no reward is given and nothing is charged. We do not control the content of ads, which is supplied by Google and its advertising partners under their policies; the App requests ads suitable for a teen audience.
5.3 No In-App Purchases
The App currently does not sell anything. If we add optional purchases in the future, their price and what they include will be shown in the App before you buy, and purchases will be processed by Google Play under its terms, including its refund policy.
5.4 Virtual Items
Stars, boosters, themes, daily rewards, bonus moves, and streaks are in-game items. They are not money, have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or anything of value. We may change, rebalance, or limit them, and they are lost if your on-device progress is lost.
6. Acceptable Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose;
- Click on or view ads in a way intended to generate fraudulent or invalid ad activity, or use any tool to automate ad views;
- Modify the App, its data, or its save files to obtain rewards, boosters, or progress you have not earned;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or those of our service providers;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent permitted by law;
- Transmit malware or interfere with the operation of the App.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and all associated software, level designs, item artwork, icons, graphics, music, sound effects, logos, and functionality are owned by Unattached Limited or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Some components are used under open licenses, as credited in Section 15 (Third-Party Notices). Product names and items shown in the Game are generic illustrations and do not refer to any real brand. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.
8. Third-Party Services
Vanity Sort relies on third-party services, including:
- Google Play — app distribution and updates;
- Google AdMob — banner and rewarded video ads, and the consent message shown to players in the European Economic Area and the UK;
- Google Firebase — Analytics (anonymous gameplay statistics), Crashlytics (crash and error reports), and Remote Config (game settings that can change without an update).
These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, may change or become unavailable, and features that depend on them (such as rewarded videos) may stop working. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, that every level can be completed in a particular way, that ads or rewards will always be available, that your progress will never be lost, or that the App will meet your expectations.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unattached Limited and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access to the App, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms. On termination:
- Your right to use the App will cease immediately;
- Provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5.4 and 7–11) will survive;
- Virtual items may be forfeited upon termination for cause, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms by revising the Effective Date above and providing notice where appropriate. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation and, where required, resolved through arbitration or the competent courts.
15. Third-Party Notices
Vanity Sort includes material from the following third parties. We thank their authors.
15.1 Baloo 2 (typeface)
The Baloo 2 typeface by Ek Type is used under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. The license is available at openfontlicense.org.
15.2 Capacitor and its plugins
The App is built with Capacitor by Ionic, used under the MIT License, together with the community AdMob plugin and the Capawesome Firebase plugins, also under the MIT License.

15.4 Artwork, music, and sounds
The item artwork, app icon, music, and sound effects were created for Vanity Sort; the music and sound effects are generated by the App on your device.
